Decisive Edge is led by Kevin Hunt, a global business executive, entrepreneur and decision strategist whose career has rarely followed a conventional path.
Kevin began his career in audit, moved into international development as a management consultant and National Director for SOS Children's Villages in the Dominican Republic, and went on to build a career in technology spanning startups, global software companies and businesses of his own. He has led Latin American operations, built companies and sales organizations across international markets, and held senior roles with companies ranging from entrepreneurial ventures to IBM, Business Objects, Oracle/Endeca and Salesforce. His career has taken him across four continents, living and working in more than ten countries and doing business in many more.
Along the way, Kevin has built businesses from the ground up, opened new markets, developed technology ventures, negotiated major enterprise transactions and worked with executives confronting complex strategic decisions. At IBM Cognos, he achieved Elite status as one of its top ten global sales representatives, while other roles have seen him create multimillion-dollar opportunities, build international channels and turn difficult customer situations into substantial new business.
What connects those experiences is curiosity, energy and a willingness to venture into unfamiliar territory, understand it quickly and turn ambiguity into action. Kevin combines quantitative decision-making with the instincts of an entrepreneur: question assumptions, find the opportunity others have missed, assemble the right people and tools, and then make something happen.
